The staff were very friendly and accommodating, yet
The overall experience was marred by issues with the pricing at check-in. I appreciated the upgraded room, but it's frustrating to deal with billing mistakes. Otherwise, the room wassuper clean and cozy for my stay.

Mixed feelings about this
Location is great, with easy access to food and shops! The clean and cozy queen room exceeded my expectations.
Unfortunately, the management's honesty was questionable, leaving me feeling uneasy about agreeing to payment terms.

Make sure to get queen room with kitchenette and comfy bed. The price is just right - $ 103. The location is central, close enough to all the breweries, shops bars and a beautiful restaurant for dinner. Besides, the hotel is located 3 km away from Old Mill District.

Besides, the location was magnificent for our stay, within 10 minutes' walk of Pilot Butte State Park. It also was to a beautiful restaurant for dinner.

Comfortable bed (firm mattress, which I like), price. Convenient location if you want to be in the middle of Bend. Price pretty good, though on the way back we found a little cheaper room at the Dunes, which was slightly nicer. Just needed a place to stay on the way to the coast, and it was adequate for that.
Door knob was difficult to open; coffee maker didn't work. Staff seemed a bit nonchalant about addressing those issues. A little bit of noise in the morning, perhaps from staff though not sure.

Super easy check in.
The room was in terrible condition. The bathroom was fouled and seemed neglected. I encountered loose electrical outlets that hit like fire hazards. The poor lighting from the curtains made it impossible to sleep well.

Our hotel room was pleasantly clean and spacious for the affordable rate we paid. The staff was friendly and welcoming, but not overwhelmingly so. We had a king bed room with a chair, table set, tv, fridge, microwave and still felt roomy. We were able to walk to downtown in less than 10 minutes. Its walking distance to a handful of good restaurants and Drake Park. It's about a half hour drive to Mt. Bachelor, depending on weather conditions. I would definitely return here for a night, next time I'm in Bend.
While the bed was cozy and comfortable, it was not the most comfortable bed ever.

Budget travelers might find it decent
The check-in was super easy and the staff really made sure we didn't get lost. I found a vape pen behind the bed that I turned in instead of keeping it, and the housekeeper came running to ask if it belonged to us which was nice.
It wasn't exactly cheap for what it offered but still acceptable.

Budget price, quiet location
A bit run down, some maintenance issues (my shower head was broken and had been repaired with a cone of aluminum foil).

Check with the staff for nearby restaurants. They can recommend some great local spots that aren't listed in the guides.

The location would be hard to improve on for the price--it's a scant five minute walk from downtown. It's the closest $50/night hotel to downtown Bend. Fridges and real glasses and teacups.
Old and ugly building, uncomfortable beds, showers built for someone 5'4" or below, my friend got aggressive bedbug bites, and a lamp cord exploded resulting in us losing power for a night. No ice machine or bucket. We stayed in a bottom floor room. The tv didn't get hd channels and the WiFi kept shutting off. It was like London during the Blitz, minus the pleasant prospect of learning German.
